So all USA federal properties and facilities like parks, museums, monuments, services, offices, and security (the FBI too?) are closed up to date to be determined? Really?
UPDATE: My sincere apologies to the not displayed replies that got lost when I removed the double post. You are really too fast in answering! But many thanks for the replies that make quite clear the situation to me, even if I still think that it's quite an absurd circumstance indeed.

Everything that's not essential to the protection of life and/or property is closed. So National Parks are closed, but the FBI is still working.

Fellow Eurojalops!
How about we invade and teach those yanks how to run a country? Hopefully the army got shut down too so nobody can stop us! MWAHAHAHAHAHAH!
;)
EDIT:
Why the hell is my comment grayed out? Secret Service at work?

Why does my comment keep getting deleted?
There are HUNDREDS of exceptions to the shut down. This includes the armed forces and national security agencies, among others.

Yes, much like bicameral is a kinky word in the dromedary community.
